Networking Dinner
Hope School Uganda
CWD are very proud to support a brand new project in Africa. Hope School Uganda is a UK registered charity who own 10 acres of land in Kampala, Uganda and preparations are underway to build a school for 350 children aged 6-14 years. There will also be dormitory blocks for the children to live in, as well as several houses for the teachers and other staff. Finally, there will be a Church and Medical centre built on the same land and these will be available to the whole community.
This is such an exciting project and you can be part of it's success. There are a number of ways that you could support the project so please visit the website to find out more and see the children on the watch a 4 minute video. Sue & John

Fancy A Break Away?
Wow, John and I have just returned from a fantastic long weekend at the Whitchester Guest House in this directory. It is situated on the Scottish Borders and stands in its own grounds. It is set back from the main road so you won't hear any traffic. The house and grounds were lovely and there was a wonderful 'peace' about the whole place. Evelyn, the Manager works tirelessly to make your stay perfect and she is a brilliant cook.
If you fancy a break away, we can definately recommend a stay at Whitchester and if you do go remember to say hello to Evelyn from us and then put a review in their listing.

Fantastic Night at the Arena
Amazing testimonies were given about the many different projects in the North West that aim to stop gun and knife crime and bring love and hope back to the area.
MD Productions were fantastic and my personal favourite on the night. The talent, dedication, and passion of the young dancers is to be admired and nurtured. Young people everywhere can take heart and be inspired by groups like MD Productions.
The Croxteth and Norris Green Choir were also a pleasure to watch. They are a wonderful example of what can happen when we engage in an encouraging way with our young. With new relationships being forged, in the school, between the children and the local police and the input, and dedication of local singer Liam Moore, the end result was again inspiring.
John and I felt very priviledged to be a part of it all and were delighted to represent all the Christian businesses in this directory who impact the community in a positive way. For an example, see latest customer review about Tidysite Builders by clicking on their listing.
If you were there on the night, we would love to hear your comments too.
For those of you who missed the event, check out www.citylinks.org.uk for the next venue.

Redeeming Our Communities
Sue and I are really excited about the Redeeming Our Communities event at the Liverpool Echo Arena on the 16th June. All indications are that it is going to be a full house as over 4000 people have already pre registered. I believe anything can happen when God's people come together in Unity to Seek and Worship Him with all of their heart. Denominational tags are forgotten when the Love of God is in the midst, together with a burning desire to see His Kingdom come and His will done on earth as it is in Heaven.
Christian Workers Direct will have one of the 12 exhibition stands at the event, so please come over and say hello. Hope to see you there. John and Sue

offering
Hi all readers
I would like to submit the first(?) blog with a suggestion that if you feel you have received good service at an honest price by using CWD, then you may feel like making an offering of say, 5% of the invoice price, or any figure you feel is right, to a fund which would be used for a charity or mission.
The cause/s to receive the gift woulld be decided by the members who have contributed in the year.
Please respond.

Interesting Features
Hi, just a few lines to say that this site is not just a directory to find the professional, business or service that you may be looking for. You can look at what the different (listed) Churches are doing. There is an Event section of interesting things to go to. There is a Daily Verse, near the bottom of the Home Page, and a UK Christian News section that is updated every couple of days. You can read about news that you won’t necessarily see on mainstream TV and if you want to you can comment on issues in our BLOG.
We really hope you enjoy these extra features and each time you log back on you will notice that more new businesses have been added. Every blessing to all our visitors. Sue & John
